| General Information |
| Below you will find some of the answers to the questions
you maybe asking yourself. |
|
Who is the Service For?
Our services are for people who
have dementia problems that affect them to such an extent
that they are no longer capable of living at home on
their own, even with family support.
|
| |
|
What can it Provide?
Our services provide good levels of staff support
in high quality community based accommodation. We believe
that we provide a real home where the person and their
family can feel involved, respected and safe and where he
or she feels that they can still make a contribution
to society and be treated with dignity.
|
| |
|
Where is it Provided?
Our services are provided in two locations. One of these
projects is in the Gorbals area of Glasgow and provides
accommodation for eight people and the other is in the Maryhill
area of Glasgow, in Springbank Street, where accomodation
is provided for 14 people.
|
| |
How can I Request these Services?
Our services can either be accessed through contacting
the Project Manager of the Project directly for information
or by contacting the Social Work Department and requesting
an assessment of needs. Either way the Social Work Department
will have to carry out an assessment to ascertain suitability
for the project.
|
| |
Is There a Charge?
There is a charge. The charge will vary from
centre to centre. The Social Work Department will meet
most of the cost and clients are required to make a
contribution. This will be fully explained by the Manager
prior to a placement being offered.
|
| |
|
How Long Will I Have to Wait?
This is dependent on various factors, including availablity
of places. If the project does have a vacancy then as
soon as the Social Worker involved carries out the various
assessments and you are happy to move into the project,
then you can do so. Priority will be given to those
with the greatest needs.
