The West End Project is based in the Castlehill area of Dumbarton; the staff team consists of Project Manager, senior project worker, 3 project workers and 2 project assistants.
It offers a Day Opportunities/Outreach service for adults under 65 years with varying degrees of physical disabilities, brain injuries and social isolation and for older adults 65years+. The project supports members to undertake their identified goals with the level of support depending on individual requirements and aims to empower members, to build confidence and maximise their choices. Members are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of activities within the local and wider community. We liaise closely with Colleges, Community Education and multi-disciplinary professionals, ultimately empowering members to make decisions, encourage independence, develop social networks and enhance their quality of life.
Within the project we also offer a bistro area, internet café, sensory/therapy room, woodwork/workshop and art therapy activities.
