General Information
Below you will find some of the answers to the questions you maybe asking yourself.
Who is the Service For?
Our services are for older people who have physical problems that affect them to such an extent that they are no longer capable of living at home on their own or even with family support. We, as an organisation, are committed to supporting older people who require varying degrees of support to continue a life of quality and social values within their own community. The project aims to improve the life of each individual resident by encouraging personal choice and preference and by promoting self advocacy.

What Can It Provide?
Our services provide good levels of staff support in high quality community based accommodation. We believe that we provide a real home where the person and their family can feel involved, respected and safe and where he or she feels they can make a contribution to society and be treated with dignity.

Where Is It Provided?
Our services are provided in three locations. One of these projects is in the Gorbals area of Glasgow, namely the Moffat Street Project and provides accomodation for eight people. The other two services, Annandale Street and Govanhill Street Projects are in the Govanhill area, providing support for eight people and six respectively.

How can I request these services?
Our services can be accessed through contacting the Project Manager of the Project directly for information or by contacting the Social Work Department and requesting an assessment of needs. Either way the Social Work Department will have to carry out an assessment to ascertain suitability for the project.

Is There A Charge?
There is a charge. The charge will vary from centre to centre. The Social Work Department will meet most of the cost and clients are required to make a contribution. This will be fully explained by the Manager prior to a placement being offered.

How Long Will I Have To Wait?
This is dependent on various factors. For example the project may have no vacanices. If the project does have a vacancy then as soon as the social worker involved carries out the various assessments and you are happy to move into the project, then you can do so.
