| General Information |
| Below you will find some of the answers
to the questions you maybe asking yourself. |
|
Who is the Service For?
Homeless women aged 18 years plus.
|
| |
| What Can It
Provide?
Our services provide varying levels of support,
dependent on individual needs, designed to enable personal
development and to empower young women to take more
control over their lives. Support, guidance and assistance
are provided in all areas of children, homecare, budgeting
and in developing confidence and assertiveness and other
social skills.
|
| |
|
Where Is It Provided?
The service is based in the Tollcross area
of Glasgow.
|
| |
|
How can I request these services?
Our services can be accessed by contacting the Project
Manager directly for information or by contacting the
Social Work or Housing Department in Glasgow. The Social
Work Department will undertake an assessment to establish
need and suitability.
|
| |
Is There A Charge?
There is a charge for the service we provide
with rent being met through Housing Benefit. The charge
is reviewed constantly. What is actually paid by the
resident or user is not the full cost. This is dependent
on income and savings and is generally met through
contributions from the resident's Income Support and
the Social Work Department. This will obviously be
worked out prior to making a decision.

|
How Long Will I Have To Wait?
This is dependent on various factors. For example the
project may have no vacanices. If the project does have
a vacancy then as soon as the social worker involved
carries out the various assessments and you are happy
to move into the project, then you can do so.
