The project provides immediate access to accommodation, providing a safe environment for young homeless people with chaotic lifestyles who may have been sleeping rough and are excluded from other facilities.

Each young person's needs are assessed and a care plan is developed, which identifies the level and types of support that is offered.  The support provided aims to assist young people to explore and examine their lifestyles and options and work towards taking more control of their lives.The project accommodates up to 8 young people aged between 16 and 21.

Referral Criteria

Stravaig provides services for young people between 16–25 years who have no other accommodation options. Young people in need of support can self-refer, generally referrals are received via Social Work Care Managers.Length of Stay; Young people can be accommodated for a maximum of twelve weeks.

One to one key worker support.

Single bedrooms with communal dining and sitting room.
Home cooked meals daily.
Safe, secure living environment.
Support to consider current lifestyle and to progress to more positive personal choices.
Access to addiction,mental health and primary care services via referral by project workers.
Ongoing support from the project’s outreach workers.

The project is registered with and inspected by the Care Inspectorate.
