What to expect as an employee

SSSC Codes of Practice – All new employees will be issued with their own copy of the SSSC Codes of Practice and are expected to work in line with all codes relevant to social care workers.
Staff Handbook – The staff handbook, along with the contract of employment forms a written statement of terms and conditions of employment.  The handbook will be issued to all employees upon commencement.
Probationary Period – The Mungo Foundation operates a 6 month probationary period for all employees.  Reviews will be conducted by their line manager after 3 months and a final review will be conducted towards the end of the 6 month period.
Supervision / Appraisals – The Mungo Foundation is committed to ensuring employees are supported during their employment.  Supervisions should be carried out at regular intervals, every 6 – 8 weeks by their line manager.  Appraisals are carried out annually, during which performance targets are agreed for the forthcoming year. 
Policies  / Procedures – Copies of all relevant policies and procedures are kept within an employee’s place of work.  All employees are expected to adhere to such policies throughout their employment.  Employees are asked to familiarise themselves with policies upon commencement of employment including the following;
