Scottish Government to cover the cost of PVG checks for Social Care Workers from 1 October 2022 – 31 March 2023

If you are successful in securing employment with us the Scottish Government will pay the full amount of your Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) application.

That means no cost to you to apply for your PVG! (This would normally cost between £18 & £59)

All applications must be made by 31 March 2023.

Eligible roles

To be eligible, you must be working in a new role of:

• Support worker
• Manager
• Supervisor, or
• Practitioner

AND be working in one of the following areas:

• Adult services
• Care homes
• Care at home services
• Housing support
• Day care services
• Children’s services
